Honey Peach Frozen Yogurt - so perfectly creamy and ridiculously easy! | @tasteLUVnourish on TasteLoveAndNourish.com

Honey Peach Frozen Yogurt and a Giveaway!

I’ve been meaning to break out my ice cream maker all summer. It was collecting dust on a shelf that I need two stools and a chair to reach. So, between not being in the mood to mountain-climb and feeling defeated by past attempts to create healthier ice creams…I procrastinated big time!

Then…

I received something bloggers like to call happy mail. Just a little inspiration. Noosa sent me a variety of their yoghurt (or yogurt…depending on your latitude and longitude!). I had never tried it before and was so surprised by how creamy it was. Each flavor really is a treat and tasted more like a guilty dessert.

So…

It suddenly made sense to do some climbing, dust off that ice cream maker and make frozen yogurt!

This is not much of a recipe…it’s so simple. Just combine your favorite flavors and follow the directions for your ice cream maker. I’ve got one of those older ones where you use ice and rock salt around the exterior of the tub while the motor gives it a spin. It doesn’t take much time at all, about fifteen to twenty minutes, and you end up with a creamy, rich, perfect frozen yogurt!

Honey Peach Frozen Yogurt

16 ounces peach yogurt
8 ounces honey yogurt
1 fresh peach, sliced for garnish (optional)

Equipment:
ice cream maker

In your ice cream maker’s container (that has been previously frozen and nice and cold) combine the yogurt. Follow directions for your machine and process until creamy and thick. Eat immediately, or store in a container in the freezer. Thaw just a bit before serving once frozen.

Serve with fresh peach slices if you’d like…it’s peach season after all!

Serves 4

Notes:

  • Experiment by stirring in fresh chopped fruit, nuts, chocolate chips or crushed cookies!

Frozen yogurt is the best, you can feel semi-good about indulging :) I think my favorite is plain old vanilla because you can do so much with it, but I haven’t ever tried honey before! I am very intrigued and may have to pick some up when grocery shopping today!

It’s been a while since I’ve had frozen yogurt. Crazy, isn’t it? I’d probably just pick something plain-Jane like vanilla so I could add a whole bunch of other things to it.

Honey peach frozen yogurt sounds amazing! I would love to try this recipe. As far as my favorite frozen yogurt flavor, I really like getting it plain and then adding a bunch of toppings. That’s not how I do ice cream but there’s something about the tanginess of plain frozen yogurt that I love combining with macerated fruit or even cookie crumbles.
